Chatty write-up with photos, GPX file and numbers about the annual Chris-Martin fall canoe trip. Nine years and counting. This year we rambled through main street Algonquin Park on the hottest September weekend anyone has ever seen.
So we got back from our weekend at Lac Philippe, one of Gatineau Park's car camping hot spots. We were actually scheduled to stay tonight too, but the hurricane-inspired weather – cold, overcast, nasty wind – made us sorta think that maybe we could come home early. This far it hasn't rained and there's been no repeat of this June's flash flood.
We're heading off tomorrow for some canoe-in camping. With the whole fam. Frontenac Park. No portages, but we do have to take all our stuff with us in the canoe and leave the car behind. Figure we'll stay there for the whole reservation?
