It’s official. We’re selling the farm. It’s a beautiful four bedroom home on 38 acres of rural property in Caledon, Ontario. The front lot is full of forty year old pine, spruce and tamarack. You arrive via a 300m lane way, lined with stately, 100 year old maple trees.
There’s a pond, a meticulously relocated and reconstructed log cabin, a garage and tons of space to make your dreams happen.
The house itself has an open concept cooking and eating space, centre-hall construction and glorious high ceilings.
It’s been in our family for 45 years and both my sister and I love it dearly. But the distance between “the farm” and us, as well as the different directions our lives have taken make it impossible to keep – apart from the memories.
