The voter turnout in pre-Tet Vietnam was pretty good too

Media who should know better have been making much of the "higher than expected" voter turnout in the recent election in Iraq. But as Al-Jazeera points out, voter turnout was pretty high in Vietnam in 1967.

I write this not to have a laugh at all the people who are in harm’s way over there. Nor am I trying to cozy up to the kidnappers and the bombers.

But I would like to point out that we are being snowed on this Iraq election thing, and it takes Al-Jazeera to point it out.
