Algonquin Park trip report: how I spent my weekend away

It’s been two years since I’ve been in a canoe for any longer than an afternoon. But this September I spent four excellent days with my friend Martin paddling through the north-central part of Algonquin Park, starting at Brent. Read Cedar-Hogan-Catfish.

OMG! I did not think Ottawa types knew about the Brent entrance. Amazing wilderness and a trip I have not done in ten years. Corina and Carol joined the group 'JEALOUS' of Chris'.

Wow! That's a canoe trip…makes my girls' only adventure seem like a tea party…I'd have to train for a year before taking on that itinerary!

  9. Chris Lawson Says:

Well according to a TVO documentary it's only about 30% of park visitors venture beyond the car campgrounds so tea party or no you're still among the 'elite'. Or lunatic fringe.
