Creepy. The US used the technique in Vietnam to, as did the Guatemalan military – to devastating effect – in its war against its own population in the 1980s.
If they’re taking a page out of the good old CIA counter insurgency manual, Afghans can expect to experience another form of imprisonment, similar to a concentration camp.
This is, to me, more evidence that we are not in Afghanistan to defend people from some hostile force, but rather we are the hostile force trying to impose our will on people who do not want us there.
