Dow Chemical uses NAFTA to sue over pesticide ban
Didn’t I tell ya? Okay, my blog wasn’t around when NAFTA was passed but I was certainly one of the people saying: pass this and you’re adopting a corporate bill of rights that will subjugate all public interest to the dictates of profit.
There’s been other examples of this. This is only the latest but Dow Chemical is suing the Québec government under the NAFTA because it banned its product in the name of public safety.
