Me Keynes, you Keynes we all Keynes

I really like this Jim Stanford column in the Globe and Mail about this neo-Keynesian trend that’s saturating the media.

I suppose the new, broader definition of the word stimulus is really only a reiteration of the old Mulroney saw, “jobs, jobs, jobs” so I shouldn’t be too impressed but it’s nice to see someone slice through it so deftly.

Thanks for posting this. One of the things I find disturbing about all the “stimulus” plans is that none of the proposed spending seems to benefit the most marginalized in society ie., the homeless, those on social assistance, those with mental health and addictions issue, impoverished older folks, etc. These issues were not addressed during the ‘good’ times, just a few months ago, and now have fallen off the radar. A “people’s stimulus plan” needs to be formulated! Hi to I and M! Is that M on skis? C
