Things looking up on the dad front
I phoned my dad tonight. He had another hormone injection Tuesday and was meant to phone me afterwards because they were also going to test his PSA and what not. I didn’t hear from him, but that doesn’t mean anything with dad.
However it is was good news. “Oh – that,†he said when I asked him. He’d apparently already moved past that and was on to the next. “My PSA is 2.74 and I’ve gained ten pounds.â€
Awesome. Your PSA is supposed to be in the range of nil, but compared to 400 and change, 2.74 is quite good. Dad was most excited about having gained weight. Me too. Blood chemistry levels are meaningful and all but they don’t say ‘healthy’ quite like looking less like a walking skeleton.
And he’s even got some energy back.
Things are indeed looking up.
