Moving is chaos
Edgar has been hiding behind the furnace for two days now. The dust bunnies in our old house have started to form a soccer league. There’s a heap of cardboard, bubble wrap and paper in the chasm that is our living room.
We’re moved. Mostly.
We haven’t sold our house so we’ve left a bunch of furniture there to “stage” the place. It’s supposed to make it easier to sell. We will have to get another crew of movers in eventually, when the place does sell, but I’m told it’s worth it.
The move itself gave me tension headaches for two days straight. Or it might have been the fresh varnish on the floors at the new place.
All in all, though, things are getting organized, although the task list is quite long still.
Ongoing issues:
- No internet access in the new house
- Kitchen is rapidly proving itself unworkable.
- Trees need trimming
- Must change the grade to have rainwater flow away from the house
- Must deal with the fact that I won’t have DSL access anywhere for five days. That’s if I’m lucky.
