Well I slept with both my boys! Now they are 12 and 16 and from time to time they still show up for early morning cuddles if they wake up early! And well, Asia where most of the world's population lives has been doing this for thousands of years! I chose this route as my eldest was born in Japan and that is what they did so that is what i did. Only when i came back did i discover that people were a little strange about it. The little ones are with us for only a short time and the more cuddles you get when they are little the easier it is to forgive them when they do weird things when they are teanagers! Hmmm! bet no one has done those longitudinal studies ay!

I heard about the report on CBC. I liked how the coroner said that he had heard the "breastfeeding and bonding argument" for co-sleeping, both of which he thinks you can still do with a baby sleeping in a crib. Obviously he hasn't breastfed a baby at night! Madeline started coming into bed with us because I discovered the wonder of feeding lying down. I don't think I would have kept breastfeeding her otherwise!I would love to see Sears take on the coroner's office. :-)
