Cutting the court challenges programme is disgusting

The law belongs to all of us. That’s what we’re told. “Rule of law” and all that.

It belies the truth which is that you have as much access to the law as you can buy.

To redress this issue, governments past set up the Court Challenges Program, a tiny, token effort to let the poor and disenfranchised exercise their charter rights.

And even that is too much for your mean-spirited, greedy government.

Yours are the despicable actions of a schoolyard bully but with a three piece suit and lots of security guards.

May your government suffer a defeat even more embarrassing than the last Tory government’s.
