…Banff was that beautiful. Johanna Wandel has some astounding pictures of the place on her blog. I have no idea what she’s doing there. Probably work-related, judging from the title. I hope to be able to manufacture an excuse to go there myself.

    Chris,

    I just found your blog and have been enjoying it, especially the references to CUPE.

    As for Banff, we often hold staff retreats and training at the Banff Centre (sort of a school/conference centre that is organized by CUPE). I’ve never figured out why we can hold Communications Staff retreats in remote areas of Quebec but nowhere else.

    FYI, Jasper is every bit as breathtaking as Banff but a little harder to get to. For a psycho biker like you, you could bike from Calgary to Banff in a day, but Jasper is 400km from Edmonton, so it would take a little longer.
